More than safety gear.
We implement safety controls that are more than personal protective equipment (PPE). Our first method for reducing risk is by eliminating it. If we can do the work in a different (safer) way then we will change our practices to suit the job. If it is a risk that cannot be eliminated, we work with it by uses administrative or engineering restrictions. Our last defence is our ever-present PPE – our helmets, harnesses, shoes, gloves, glasses, and high visibility vests.
All of our staff are accredited arborists, who have had years of experience in arbory. We have strictly policy on the use of safety equipment, and about the professional conduct of the workers. Our workers use Safe Work Method Instructions (SWMS) that can be provided on request for job. We also carry out pre-work briefs to identify any job specific hazards. Safety is paramount. If you are interested in seeing what is contained within our SWMS, click on one of the following links to see a sample document:
- Sample SWMS for Operating a Wood Chipper
- Sample SWMS for Operating a Stump Grinder
- Sample SWMS for Felling a Tree
- Sample SWMS for Manual Handling
The above sample SWMSs are templates that are customised for each project that Sydney Tree Removals is contracted to work on. If you require any documentation before the commencement of work please contact us prior to the commencement of your arbor service.
In addition to having suitable safe working systems in place to manage the risks involved with tree work, we also have the correct insurance policies in place to further mitigate any risks to our clients. We maintain Public Liability, Workers Compensation and Plant & Motor Vehicle insurances. If you require a copy of our Certificates of Currency please do not hesitate to request a copy.
